CSRL Growing Education Through School Lunches Campaign

December 12, 2019

Be a part of the Center for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods work to end hunger and improve children’s education by contributing to the Kamuli District, Uganda school garden and lunch programs.  Your support will help the Iowa State University - Uganda Program provide learning opportunities and nutritious meals to almost 3000 children on each school day.  School gardens help children learn how to grow vegetables and fruits and produce eggs through poultry projects. These products are then enjoyed and valued in the school lunch.  Improved school kitchens provide safe and sanitary conditions to prepare and serve the food.

Donations to this fund will help provide nutritious meals for children who otherwise would not receive a school lunch, and strengthen their foundation for learning skills to support their futures.

For the first $15,000 donated, every dollar you contribute will be matched 2:1 by a donor challenge group, which means every $1 you donate will total $3!
