Global Programs Welcomes University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad Scholars

In January 2022, the Global Programs office welcomed seven visiting scholars from our partner institution, the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, India. The World Bank-Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) awarded funds to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad (UAS-D) under National Higher Education Project (NAHEP) an Institutional Development Plan (IDP) titled “Augmenting Quality and Relevance of Higher Agricultural Education through Enhanced Learning Outcome and Entrepreneurship Development.” One of the major objectives of this project is to improve the academic ambiance and technology competence of faculty through the international training program. As a part of this program, seven young faculty from the diverse disciplines of Agricultural Sciences are undergoing a 3-month training program at Iowa State University. The program dates for the visiting scholars are January 15- April 15, 2022.
