A group of 23 students and 2 professors from Reaseheath College, Cheshire, United Kingdom visited Iowa State University from June 12-19, 2019. During their stay, the group visited Sukup Manufacturing, Fareway Distribution Center, John Deere Waterloo Operations, Lanehaven Farms, Radakovich Cattle Company, Blood Dairy Farm, Gregory Feedlots, Kirkman Farms, Lauritsen Cattle Company and the Iowa State University Beef Teaching and Dairy Farms. By participating in all of the site visits, the students were able to experience different livestock and crop productions as well as different agricultural industries in Iowa. Many of the students appreciated being able to compare farms in Iowa to their family farms in the UK and were impressed on the size of the equipment used in the day to day operations as well as the land size of the farms.
The partnership between Iowa State University and Reaseheath College began in 2015 and has brought more than 65 undergraduate students to Iowa during their 2015, 2017 and 2019 visits. During the off years, students from Reaseheath College visit Lincoln, Nebraska.
