- The Exchange Visitor (EV) Program of the U.S. Department of State (DOS) (J-1 status only) is now saying that all programs funded by the Department of State have been paused “until further notice,” which translates as guidance for other program sponsors such as ISU. Please watch for updates here.

Global Programs Department in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences provides leadership and service in globalizing teaching, research, and extension programs that serve the people of the state, the nation and the world. The College is known globally for its excellent visitor training programs and is called upon frequently to provide short- and long-term training programs for visiting scholars worldwide. The Global Programs Department facilitates the collaboration of visiting scholars and CALS faculty through visitor assistance related to visas and logistics, orientation programs, program/fiscal management. Since 2010, Global Programs has facilitated programs at Iowa State University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences for over 700 visitors from over 70 countries.
